Phantom comparison for MRI quality control tests according to manufacturers and national standards

Quality control tests are mandatory and essential to monitor Magnetic Resonance Imaging equipment. These assist in determining improper functioning or parameters below established reference levels. The objective of this study was perform quality magnetic resonance imaging equipment compare their methodology with both FLUKE KONEX phantoms. Different protocols were used for evaluation, including the American Association Physics Medicine, College Radiologists, Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency. In study, we demonstrated results most critical tests: slice thickness accuracy, position high-contrast spatial resolution, low-contrast field, uniformity. that, although phantom objects efficient carrying out required regulations, consumes less time, as it requires image all its structures. phantoms need a longer acquisition time obtain test structures object images.
